Return Policy

School Booksellers

We understand that occasionally the class for which you have ordered books does not meet your school’s requirements for offering instruction. If you need to return three or more books per title, we offer the following procedure for returns.

Please send a Return request to sales@sunburstmedia.com prior to returning books and other tangible items and wait for our prior approval. Only accounts that are current (i.e., do not have any outstanding invoices that are past due for payment) can be authorized.

If a return is authorized, all books sold to bookstores and wholesalers that are returned in unmarked, unlabeled, good-as-new, resalable condition within six months of the original shipping date will receive credit for the full price paid by the bookstore or wholesaler, less a 15% restocking fee. Please enclose a copy of the original invoice showing proof that all returned copies were purchased directly from Sunburst Media.

Resalable condition is determined solely by the publisher. Books not considered in resalable condition include any of the following conditions: affixed barcode stickers (unless by Sunburst Media); glue from removed stickers; security tagging; altered or obstructed pre-printed barcodes; staining; discoloration; scuffed, torn, or dented covers; excessively shopworn; or showing other physical damage.

If the return meets the criteria above, credit will be issued and will be applied against future orders. Sunburst Media does not issue cash refunds for returns.

Notes:Orders of one or two copies per title are not returnable. Requests are not handled by phone. The customer is responsible for return shipping costs.

Damaged Merchandise

If you received damaged, defective, or incorrectly shipped merchandise, please send a Damaged merchandise request to sales@sunburstmedia.com within seven (7) days of the delivery date and Sunburst Media will be happy to work with you to rectify the situation. The cost of returning of damaged, defective, or incorrectly shipped merchandise merchandise is to be borne by the customer.

Digital Items

Shrink-wrapped items that have been opened, digital books, and online learning programs are not returnable and no refunds are permitted. However, if you need help accessing your digital materials, please send a Digital support request to sales@sunburstmedia.com
